Parshvnath Karguvanji Jain Tirth Jhansi

श्री करगुवांजी अतिशय क्षेत्र झांसी शहर से मात्र 5 किमी दूर मेडिकल कॉलेज के गेट नं. 2 के सामने है। यह क्षेत्र लगभग 700 वर्ष पुराना है। यहां 9 एकड़ भूमि के बीच एक तहखाने में काले पत्थर की 6 मूर्तियां स्थापित हैं, जो प्राचीर से घिरा हुआ है। 200 वर्ष पूर्व पेशवाओं के समय झांसी बलवंत नगर के नाम से प्रसिद्ध था। एक दिन एक व्यक्ति टूटी हुई मूर्तियों को बैलगाड़ी में भरकर जल में डालने जा रहा था, वह यहां रुका। बार-बार प्रयास करने के बाद भी गाड़ी आगे नहीं बढ़ी। उसी दिन रात्रि में बलवंत नगर के प्रसिद्ध व्यक्ति श्री सिंघई नन्हेजू ने स्वप्न देखा और उन्हें पता चला कि जिस स्थान पर बैलगाड़ी रुकी है, वहां जमीन के नीचे कई मूर्तियां छिपी हुई हैं। अगली सुबह श्री नन्हेजू ने राजा को रात्रि के स्वप्न के बारे में बताया, विचार-विमर्श के बाद उस स्थान पर खुदाई करने का निर्णय लिया गया और इस प्रकार तहखाने के नीचे प्राचीन मूर्तियां बरामद हुईं। राजा ने वहां मंदिर के लिए 9 एकड़ भूमि दान कर दी, जिस पर प्राचीर और कुआं बनवाया गया और एक सुंदर उद्यान विकसित किया गया। यहां वि.सं. 1345 की छः प्राचीन मूर्तियां स्थापित हैं तथा भगवान महावीर की एक बड़ी मूर्ति भी स्थापित की गई है।

Kshetra is about 700 years old. Here 6 idols of Black Stone are installed in a basement, which is situated in the midst 9 acres of land surrounded by a rampart.
200 years ago, at the time of Peshavas, Jhansi was famous as Balvant Nagar. One day a person was carrying broken idols in a bullock cart to drop idols in water, stopped here. After trying again & again the cart did not move ahead. In the same day night a famous man of Balvant Nager, Shri Singhai Nanheju saw dream and came to know that at a place where cart stayed. There were various idols hidden underground. In the next morning Shri Nanheju informed to king about dream of night, after discussion digging at that place was decided and thus the ancient idols were recovered under the basement. The King donated 9 acres of land for temple there, at which rampart & well constructed and a beautiful garden was developed.
Here six ancient idols of V.S. 1345 are installed and a big idol of Lord Mahaveer was also installed.
