Andawa Jain Tirth Prayagraj

आज से करोड़ों वर्ष पूर्व जैनधर्म के प्रथम तीर्थंकर भगवान ऋषभदेव ने अयोध्या में जन्म लेकर राज्य संचालन किया पुनः संसार से वैराग्य हो जाने पर उन्होंने जिस सिद्धार्थ नामक वन में जाकर वटवृक्ष के नीचे जैनेश्वरी दीक्षा धारण की थी, वही स्थान प्रयाग के नाम से प्रसिद्धि को प्राप्त हुआ, ऐसा जैन ग्रंथों में वर्णन आता है।
फरवरी 2001 में इलाहाबाद-बनारस हाइवे पर ‘‘तीर्थंकर ऋषभदेव तपस्थली तीर्थ’’ का अभूतपूर्व निर्माण हुआ है। पस्थली तीर्थ निर्माण के साथ-साथ परिसर में ‘‘गणिनी ज्ञानमती निलय’’ के नाम से आधुनिक सुविधायुक्त 26 डीलक्स फ्लैट की दो मंजिला सुंदर धर्मशाला तथा ‘‘प्रथमाचार्य श्री शांतिसागर निलय’’ के नाम से 12 फ्लैट की सुन्दर बिल्डिंग बनी हुई है।

Millions of years ago, the first Tirthankara of Jainism, Bhagwan Rishabhdev was born in Ayodhya and ruled over the kingdom. When he became detached from the world, he went to a forest named Siddhartha and took Jain initiation under a banyan tree. The same place became famous as Prayag, as mentioned in Jain scriptures.
In February 2001, the unprecedented construction of "Tirthankara Rishabhdev Tapasthali Teerth" was done on Allahabad-Banaras highway. Along with the construction of Tapasthali Teerth, a beautiful two-storey Dharamshala with 26 deluxe flats equipped with modern facilities named "Ganini Gyanmati Nilaya" and a beautiful building of 12 flats named "Prathamacharya Shri Shantisagar Nilaya" have been built in the campus.
