Bijoliya Parashvanath Jain Tirth Ajmer

There is an inscription of Vikram Samvat 1226 in this area situated on the Bundi-Chittaurgarh National Highway, according to which Lord Parshvanath was consecrated at this place by Kamath only before attaining enlightenment. After this Lord Parshvanath attained only knowledge. This inscription is considered to be the largest inscription in the world.

There are a total of 11 temples in this area. There is a Chaubisi, Samavasharan composition and 2 Manastambhas. There are also Santshala and Ganadhar Parmeshthi temples here. According to the belief of the local people, when the traders of Ujjain came here while traveling, they had a dream about the statues. The next day, excavation was done at a certain place and the statues were taken out. After this this temple was constructed.

There is also a belief that in 1858, some British people tried to dig the inscription because of the suspicion that there was treasure under it, but as soon as they started doing so, they were attacked by bees and milk from the inscription started appearing. The stream started flowing. An annual fair is held here on Chaitra Briddha Chaturthi. Accommodation and restaurants are available for a fee in the area.
