Daulatpur Jain Tirth Vidisha

About 150 years old Shri Sheetal Nath Dambag Jain small temple of Vidisha which is situated in Andarkila. This temple is very grand and huge.This temple is jointly operated by Lavenchu Samaj and Khandelwal Samaj. Both these societies have their own Panchayat which divides the family from marriage to all social functions.Presently its president is Mr. Niranjan Patni and resident is Mr. Sanjeev Chandauria. This small panchayat has 32 houses and with the strength of Mitra Mandal, this panchayat has been formed.While entering the temple from the entrance gate of the temple, there is a small square from where one can enter the temple with some stairs, although there is a gate behind it too, there are five altars in the temple,,, the original deity of this temple is Shri Sheetal. Nath is God. It rests on several pillars made of stones. These pillars add to the beauty of the temple.Near this small temple, there is a big Jain temple about 300 years old, whose original leader is also Sheetal Nath Bhagwan, hence the name of big temple and Jain temple.In this temple, there is a saint residence which has 5 rooms, a huge and Swadhyay Bhawan where the monks come and go.All the processions of Vidisha Jain community, on the occasion of Mahavir Jayanti, Anant Chaturdashi, and Kshamavani, huge processions start from such small Jain temples in which the entire Jain community participates.
