Nainagiri Jain Tirth Chhatarpur

नैनागिरि (रेशांडीगिरि) निर्वाणकांड में वर्णित एक प्राचीन स्थान है। यह वह स्थान है जहां एक बार भगवान पार्श्वनाथ के समवशरण का आगमन हुआ था और श्री वरदत्त और अन्य पांच तपस्वी संतों ने मोक्ष प्राप्त किया था।

यह क्षेत्र एक पहाड़ी पर स्थित है, जो इतनी ऊंची नहीं है, इसमें पहाड़ी पर 36 जैन मंदिर और घाटी में 15 मंदिर हैं। अन्य मंदिर भी दर्शनीय हैं।

क्षेत्र से 2 किमी आगे जंगल में एक तीर्थ बहुत पुराना प्रतीत होता है। इस क्षेत्र का ग्यारहवाँ मंदिर काफी प्राचीन है और माना जाता है कि यह लगभग 100 वर्ष पहले धरती से निकला था।

मंदिर के एक शिलालेख के अनुसार, पूरा होने का वर्ष विक्रम संवत 1109 था। इस मंदिर के प्रमुख देवता भगवान पार्श्वनाथ हैं, जिनकी खड़ी मूर्ति 4 फीट 7 इंच ऊँची है। इसे विक्रम संवत 2015 में स्थापित किया गया था। यहां 13 प्राचीन मूर्तियाँ भी स्थापित हैं, (11वीं - 12वीं शताब्दी की)। भगवान पार्श्वनाथ की पहाड़ी पर पहला मंदिर (11 फीट ऊंचा) 'बड़े बाबा का मंदिर' या चौबीसी मंदिर के नाम से जाना जाता है। इस मंदिर के एक मंदिर पर सफेद पत्थर से बनी 5 तपस्वी संतों (गुरुदत्त और अन्य) की खड़ी मुद्रा में मूर्तियाँ स्थापित हैं। दूसरा है भगवान महावीर का मंदिर, जो बहुत सुंदर है, एक तालाब के बीच में स्थित है। इस मंदिर के प्रमुख देवता भगवान महावीर की मूर्ति 2 फीट ऊंची है।

Nainagiri (Reshandigiri) is an ancient place described in Nirvankand. This is the place where Samavsharan of Lord Parsvanath arrived once and Shri Vardatt and other five ascetic saints achieved salvation .

This Kshetra is situated on a hill, not so high, consists 36 Jain Temples on hill and 15 in valley. Other temples are also visitable.

2 km ahead from the Kshetra, there a shrine in forest seems to be very old. The Eleventh temple of this Kshetra is ancient enough supposed to come out from the earth about 100 Years ago.

According to an inscription of the temple, the year of completion was Vikram samvat 1109. Principal deity of this temple is Lord Parsvanath, the standing idol 4 feet 7 inch in height. This was installed in Vikram samvat 2015. 13 ancient idols are also installed here, (belong to11th - 12th century). First temple on hill of Lord Parsvanath (11 feet high ) is known as 'Bade Baba Ka Mandir' or Choubeesee Temple. On a shrine of this temple idols of 5 ascetic saints (Gurudatt & others) in standing posture made of White Stone are installed. Second is Lord Mahaveer’s temple, very beautiful, situated in the midst of a pond. Principal deity of this temple is Lord Mahaveer idol is 2 feet high.
